(formerly, "Jotalogues.") was conceived and written by Adelina, after she received the NPN Creation Fund Award in 2010. Early in the workshop process she invited fellow artist, D'Lo to co-perform. Aside from a constant source of inspiration in the workshop rehearsals, he contributed a character monologue to the play, and helped originate some of the zany characterizations. (Directed by Mark Valdez. Costume and prop design by Marisa Becerra. Photos shown below by Anjali Alimchandani from the 2011 allgo/Austin workshop production.)
This production officially world-premiered in Los Angeles for a 3-week run at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center's Renberg Theater from May 31st-June 16th, 2013. It was produced by Jon Imparato.
In The Fray's staff blogger, Tina Vásquez, writes on her experience of witnessing the play here: They Cut the Fire Straight Out of Me.
