BIENVENIDOS to LA HOCICONA SERIES—Welcome to
the original X-X-Xicana Comedic Triptych of SUPA (Stand-Up meets
Performance Art) solo shows where in signature style Adelina blends
stand-up comedy, monologue, extreme characterizations, and
sprinklings of performance art moments. In these intensely
bold, highly theatrical, and hilarious shows our performers
intertwines Xicanismo, the queer, the feminist and everything else
that matters for those of us working toward progressive politics and
practices. Yes, comedy for the really intelligent masses!
LA HOCICONA SERIES includes the following three SUPAs: La Angry Xicana?! La Sad Girl.... and La Chismosa!!!
In this series Adelina collaborates with director, and talent in his own right, D'Lo (www.dlocokid.com). Catch each show individually, or keep your eyes open for the series premiere when Adelina will run the three shows back to back. (In 2011 excerpts of this comedic triptych will be made available on DVD via this website.)
